Ultrasound-Visualsonics Vevo770
This visual sonic system is designed exclusively for laboratory animals. Its image resolution is as high as 30μm, which is 10 times higher than which for clinical trials as 300~500μm, for its higher frequency probe as 40~60 MHz. This system adopts isoflurane, safe and fast effects, as anaesthetic to laboratory animals; other anesthesia manner is also possible depending on requirement of users. However, this visual sonic system still has its limits to image overview, such as bones or organs inside bones, or organs full of air, such as lungs, for the distribution on quantification by sonic due to bon or air.
Advantages of Visual Sonics Vevo 770:
- Consecutive observation on the same chosen animal for long time is possible. By doing so, variations due to various animal samples can be reduced as possible, and laboratory animal samples that are used can be reduced.
- Real-time image generation is possible to achieve observations in most details.
- Animal dissection is not required, and thus operation risks are reduced.
- Rail system offers probe observation at stable status.
- Physiological figure generation is real-time model, including heart rate, respiratory frequency and body temperature, and animal samples can be kept warm during anesthesia.
- 3D image creation is possible through software, and thus appearance and size of the testing sample can be precise generated.
